HB 3592 prohibits Medicaid (SoonerCare/SoonerSelect) dollars from going to any entity (and its affiliates/subsidiaries/clinics) primarily in the family planning/reproductive health space and provides abortions.
The only exceptions are abortions in cases of rape or incest, or when a physician certifies the pregnant woman would be in danger of death without the abortion.
An Act relating to Medicaid; defining term; prohibiting Medicaid funds for abortions; permitting exceptions; providing for codification; and providing an effective date.
