  1. HB 3791 permits physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants to prescribe or recommend “holistic,” “natural,” or other alternative treatments if they believe it will help the patient and prohibits their facing repercussions for doing so.

    It also permits parents or legal guardians to choose alternative treatments for their child or ignore a provider’s recommendation if they think it’s in the child’s best interest, prohibiting their face legal repercussions for doing so, inclusive of child neglect.

    Effective November 1, 2026.
