Amendment Summary

An emergency clause was added. (what’s that?)

(Summary provided by Metriarch)

Original Summary

HB 1709, as introduced, changes a qualification for continuation of successful adulthood services. The services may continue until twenty-one years of age provided the individual is in the custody of the Department or a federally recognized Indian tribe and in an out-of-home placement at the time of their sixteenth birthday. Current law stipulates that this must occur at the time of their eighteenth birthday.
