Bill was withdrawn from Senate Appropriations Committee
Amended in committee add, ““D. The Authority shall electronically submit a final report to the Governor, the President
Pro Tempore of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives after the conclusion of
the TMaH Model. The report shall summarize the services rendered under the TMaH Model, detail
financial information, report measurable outcomes for the populations served, and evaluate the
performance of the program”
SB 1565 creates a new section of law that lets the Oklahoma Health Care Authority participate in CMS’s Transforming Maternal Health Model and accept/spend the federal grant money that comes with it.
It limits those dollars to building and contracting for maternal health services and supports for pregnant and postpartum Medicaid members.
A required piece of that support is nutrition services for high-risk pregnancies, including medically tailored home-delivered meals designed by a registered dietitian; nutrition counseling can be offered, but it can’t be a prerequisite to getting the meals.
