An Act relating to health care providers; requiring certain health care providers to provide specified mental health screening instrument during certain patient visits; directing promulgation of certain rules and creation of certain educational materials; providing for codification; and providing an effective date.

SB 1836 establishes a requirement that most medical providers administer an evidence-based, validated mental health screening tool during (or before) a routine primary care visit at least annually
Effective November 1, 2026.
