HB 3345 updates post-arrest screening requirements, to occur after an arrest for any criminal offense.
It also changes requirement from a full “assessment and evaluation” to a simpler risk, mental health, and substance use screening, and requires that screening to be reviewed by ODMHSAS-approved assessment personnel. Finally, it clarifies how the results can be used.
Effective November 1, 2026.
