Supp. 2025, Section 150.28b), which relates to standardized sexual assault evidence kits; modifying time frame for which sexual assault evidence kits shall be submitted; requiring testing within certain time frame; updating statutory language; removing obsolete language; and providing an effective date.

SB 1584 requires law enforcement and crime labs to process sexual assault evidence kits on accelerated timelines.
Agencies must submit kits within ten (up from 20) days of collection or request. Labs must process kits within 30 days of receiving them.
