  1. SB 1547 would make Oklahoma Medicaid eligibility contingent on meeting the federal “community engagement” requirement, unless the person is exempt under that federal section. It directs the Oklahoma Health Care Authority Board to write rules to implement and enforce the requirement. It also repeals an existing state Medicaid eligibility section and replaces it with this new approach.

    The bill takes effect January 1, 2027
